Keep dodging Spikes, then use the moving platform at the end to reach the top of the flagpole. In the next set of platforms, ground pound the second barrel and enter the Warp Pipe to the fifth bonus room. Continue on the main path, being very careful if you are Mini. Jump into the first breakable block to create a Beanstalk leading to the fourth bonus room. On the next moving platform, go backwards into a Warp Pipe leading to the third bonus room.

When you reach the section with four rows of Spikes, wait for the moment when none of them have any ammunition to use, and quickly climb to the top. Continue on, using barrels to defeat any Spikes in your way. Allow yourself to be taken to the bottom, which leads to the first bonus room. Right after the elevator, hit the midway flag, then go backwards into the large pit of quicksand.

Freeze them as necessary, but avoid turning them into shells, as these will often just hurt you. The next section is an elevator with many Koopas. Run ahead, jumping over the Spinies on the hill, then slide down the other side of that hill.

Go through the quicksand, jumping to stay alive, as an easy way to dodge the attacks of the next Spike. Continue, jumping to dodge the Spiked Balls. Hit another ? Block for an Ice Flower and use it to freeze the Spike nearby. Continue onwards, staying above ground level to dodge the Spiked Balls. Pick up a barrel and throw it at the Spike enemy. Hit the ? Block for a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower, then slide down the hill.
